The mesquite fell over years before I became involved with the Park. That little grotto is one of my favorite areas of the Park, but I'm practically the only person who ever goes there.Kathryn (KL) Lancehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01801435890997786332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5538101.post-52933454288426322382013-06-03T07:56:23.998-07:002013-06-03T07:56:23.998-07:00That cactus fountain is terrific. And is that the mesquite tree that fell over just a couple years ago? Glad to see it survived.ghhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05488846601991811827noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5538101.post-31290170673411366242013-06-03T07:45:11.512-07:002013-06-03T07:45:11.512-07:00Definitely make a bee habitat. I love Greg Corman's bee sculpture. I have a piece of wood that I have intended to make into one of my own, maybe next year. The honeybee population has been declining due to a disease of unknown origin (probably related to pesticides and climate change, among other factors). The solitary bees seem to be fine, and they continue their role here in AZ as important pollinators. The javelina fill a similar ecological niche to your wild boars, but theyKathryn (KL) Lancehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01801435890997786332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5538101.post-60291889382084453092013-06-02T14:32:59.055-07:002013-06-02T14:32:59.055-07:00How fabulous your photos are today. So I'm glad you have a flourishing population. And your javelina family look like our wild boar. Any relation, I wonder?Susanhttp://www.ripplespillers.comnoreply@blogger.com
