Two Amazing Flowers and a Hummingbird

I look out the back door and I can’t believe how much beauty surrounds me. This morning I was struck by the semi-wild bottlebrush tree growing behind my bird garden. Its beautiful red bristles are tipped with gold:

The hummingbirds love it:

In my tiny rose garden, our orange rose blazes. I love spring!

    1. We had a lot of errands today, and I noticed the palo verdes. Just starting. Pretty soon all the streets will be a sea of yellow!

  2. Our bottlebrush has been blooming too. And our hummers are back! Or at least one. It was digging the tiny red maple flowers that cover the tree like fuzz. Spring!

    Beautiful rose, btw.

    1. Those roses are interesting... they start out bright orange and then change to multi-colored. I realize the desert isn't the ideal place to grow roses, but I seem to need them around.

    1. Me too. I'm always stunned when I hear people say that we don't have seasons here!
